Grendel's finally in for her surgery today... we won't get her back until tomorrow or Thursday, depending on how she seems tomorrow. It's weird having only one dog in the house. Ellie seems confused. (More so than usual). When she comes home we'll have to keep both of them sedated for several weeks until she's healed... so psyched to have to add "forcing pills down dogs' throats" to the morning routine. Anyway, I'm glad we're doing it, even though it's technically elective surgery -- she's missed running around, and I miss having her be a spaz, oddly enough. 5 is too young to become an old dog.
Wish my girl luck.

Okay. I am going to see if I can, in the next few weeks or so, get over my LJ phobia. It's not a format that is familiar to me, and I don't "speak" any computer languages, so I find it more than a little intimidating. I love the look of other people's (Carla's, Mo's) but hate not knowing how to make mine preeetty. However, I know there is a continuing exodus over to LJ from free and public websites, and the more photos I want to post of my little nugget, the more I shold familiarize myself with this. Especially if I also want to bitch about work without someday being found.
So, I am dipping my toes into the water... play nice, I'm still wearing my water wings!
